At Scarning Primary, we are extremely committed to the support of Young Carers who attend our school and we are proud to have achieved the Carer Friendly Tick award.
A young carer is someone under 18 who helps to look after a relative with a disability, illness, mental-health condition or drug or alcohol problem. This can include helping with siblings. We understand the extra burden this can put upon these children and work together to provide the best individual support for that child, taking into account the child’s voice and the parent/carer’s wishes.
